Africa Agility was the spark that lit the fire in my tech journey. I started my career with a free bootcamp organized by them, and the skills I gained there laid a strong foundation for everything that followed. Just three months after the bootcamp, I landed an internship, and since then, my career has been on a steady rise. Over the years, I’ve been selected for several reputable international data science fellowships and training programs, and today, four years later, I work as a data professional with a global brand. Before Africa Agility I had no idea what scrum mastery meant. I was working as a client relationship manager and joined the UI/UX track. Attending the bootcamp and interacting with like minded girls exposed me to scrum. I presented my group project at the hackathon which we received good feedback. After the bootcamp, I was able to package my new found tech skills and scrum knowledge learnt which got me a job in a Fintech Company (not just any Fintech but Africa first Unicorn). I worked there for a year and relocated to Canada where I now work as a project manager as well as a digital media strategist.
